CREST Awards at launch of Surrey County Council climate change

Surrey County Council highlighted the contribution of CREST Business Awards at the 24 November launch at University of Surrey, and as the headline sponsor for CREST Awards for the second year running, welcomed the many examples of #sustainable business initiatives in #surreybusiness that the awards programme is highlighting.

The team representing CREST were a cross section of its stakeholders, including Co-Directors Carol Miller and Terry Tidbury, CREST Awards sponsors Nick Diprose of Holdsway, Paul Stocker of Mayer Brown Ltd and Phil Samms of Kier as well as award winners Daniel Bekker of Binary Botanical and Ian McCulloch of Silent Pool Distillery.

CREST also recently added its voice to a film for the official #COP26 website as part of the Surrey initiative. They were joined by Doug Johnson, Managing Director of the CREST21 Sustainability Impact winner Mesh Energy.

Cllr Marisa Heath, Surrey County Council Cabinet Member for Environment, describes the awards programme as “a great initiative to shine a light on the fantastic work Surrey businesses are doing to reduce their carbon footprint. Supporting the green economy in Surrey is an essential part of helping us achieve our aim of being a net zero carbon county by 2050.”

CREST22 Business Awards will be taking place on 19 May 2022 at the WWF UK’s Living Planet Centre in Woking.
